STOCK PHOTO NOT MY REALITY.
I spent most of the weekend cleaning, de-cluttering, and organizing. We've been in our house for about 4 years and I am still trying to get things right. I got out the drill and lowered some shelves and sliding drawers in the kitchen (so easy, should have done it sooner), moved the paper towel holder, and re-arranged some drawers. Picked up 3 shelving units (from Ace) and after assembling those, re-worked the storage in the basement. It's almost unrecognizable, though there is still some work to do. Cleaned out the kids closets, our laundry room, and created a laundry system. I still haven't figure out the best way to handle the laundry-mayhem that exists in our house. Going back to my original concept of everyone having their own basket. No sorting. Got some things headed to Goodwill, several old-school t.v.'s that need to be dumped (or can these be recycled?), and even got a couple of sewing items sewed. Oh, and I even managed to make lasagna. Too bad my picky eaters won't eat it. They ate toaster waffles while Mitch and I enjoyed the Italian goodness! Plenty of leftovers for lunch this week. The weekend of organizing reconfirmed we have too much stuff, maybe I will revisit mission organization in February.

I need to jump on your bandwagon! I've been thinking about organizing for a long time, there are a couple of areas in my house that are just rediculous and don't function well. I even received an organizing book, with oodles of inspiration for Christmas. Thanks for the motivation!
recycle the TVs.... it costs money, but sometimes (like once a year) they do free recycling for these items.
