It was a hand-me-down, but we graciously accepted. A basketball hoop. Since we got it assembled and up, it's been fun for everyone. Mitch and I shoot around, the kids shoot hoops, and the neighbor kids shoot hoops. The real problem at this point in time is that everyone wants their own ball. On Sunday, I made chalk marks on the "court" and about a dozen kids spent most of the afternoon playing Around the World (and back). It was a perfect afternoon and it was so great to boys and girls ranging from ages 4 to 12 playing together without arguing! Basketball joy! It's also a reminder that fun always comes bake to basic, tried and true toys/activities!
